Lemon Pecan Cookies

This recipe is from dear sister, Phyllis Daily in Yorba Linda. We were so spoiled...her home was so cozy, she was so sweet, AND she made us chicken soup, cinnamon buns, muffins, eggs, oatmeal, cookies, brownies...these lemon pecan cookies are just one of many treats she prepared for Mannie, Adalis and me when we took hospitality with her during the Chinese Speaking Conference in Anaheim.

The Lord really knows how to cherish us through His Body so that we can be open and softened for His nourishing.


1/2 C butter or 1/2 stick butter flavored Crisco
3/4 C sugar
1 egg
2 T lemon juice

1 1/2 C flour
1 t baking powder
1/4 t salt

1/2 C chopped pecans
Preheat oven 350
Cream butter and sugar, add egg and lemon juice. Combine up to salt and add to butter. Stir in pecans. Drop in tablespoons and bake for 10-12 minutes

Makes 1 1/2 Dozen
